Our RoughSawn® columns are designed to mimic the look of rough-cut or cedar porch columns and will not check, twist, split or rot. They're low maintenance, weather and insect-proof and come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. - 8 in square RoughSawn PermaCast column has a concentric load bearing capacity of 10,000 lb max
- 8 in square RoughSawn PermaCast column has an eccentric, average allowable load of 5150 lb
- Once the column is split it has no load bearing capabilities
- Top of column is attached to header with a flashing cap, bottom of column is attached to substrate with 'L' brackets when using cap/base set
